These cabins are set high in the hinterland of Port Douglas in Tropical North Queensland and are a tribute to the wonderful bush carpentry of North Queensland’s many & varied rural sheds – nothing straight, nothing square. The cabins provide tourist accommodation where guests stay in close proximity with nature and enjoy outdoor kitchens & outdoor bathrooms. The timber poles are re-cycled hardwood off the property and the screens are made from off-cuts from the timber mill. Decking & roof sheeting don’t align & provide a jagged edge that gives the cabins an organic & rustic finish that further blurs the line between inside & out.
